So, you’ve heard about the big money being made by bloggers?! Well, it’s true, but don’t jump right in without checking the temperature of the water first.

F. When you have published a significant number of articles on a blog, be bold to request a special position for your chosen articles. This will not only boost your readership but also your brand image.

For a start, blogging can increase your profile and “presence” on the Internet. You’ll increase your search engine visibility, raise your ranking and gain more hits. That can create more business. But you need to know whether it actually does this, rather than thinking it does. That’s why you need to track click throughs from your blog right through to sales. The best way I’ve found of doing this is to use my shopping cart’s ad tracker feature. This allows me to track any clicks in any page I produce and see if an when that person buys from me. It’s a valuable way of seeing how profitable each blog entry becomes. It helps focus your mind and help you know what to write about and what to avoid within your blog.

Re-read anything before you publish. Electronic text can expose unintended meaning easily and it will also make what you say a lot more focused. If nothing else, it should help you catch spelling mistakes! Blogging is a way to share your opinions and thoughts to the rest of the world. If you post interesting things, share links with other bloggers and post comments on other blogs. Linking is the way of the Web that is the key of successful blogging.

But, personally, I have great success guest posting for other business get inspired to work out and I can attribute tens of thousands of dollars in revenue to this strategy. And this blog is all about sharing what can work, and allows you to make the decision to use or not to use. Sharing is caring.

blogging is a business and it takes a lot of work in the beginning getting set up. Also, like any business, you will have to continually operate it to make money. You get out of this business what you put into it.

Elated, I built other blogs. The more lines you have in the water, the better chance you’ll catch a fish, right? Each was slightly different than the preceding one, but I still hawked the same products. All have links back to my “main” website, and all have brought me sales.

The quickest and easiest way to set up a blog (and it is free!), is to go to http://www.blogger.com and follow the directions. They say it takes five minutes. I admit that it took me a bit longer and I am still playing with it, but it is easy! Be sure to check out the many templates and also have an idea (or several) for the name of your new blog. Most of the common ones are already taken.
